Rock am Ring 2009 had some great British bands playing. Ska legends Madness played, and Razorlight did too. Check out how we reported it back in 2009. Rock am Ring organisers have advised that over 100,000 tickets have now been sold for Rock and Ring and Rock im Park 2009. They have confirmed more bands to the lineup to join the 70 already confirmed. The new bands for Rock am Ring include Razorlight, Machine Head, Guano Apes, Madness, Phoenix, and Chris Cornell.
The Rock am Ring festival is Germany’s favorite Open Air Festival, and the latest additions just add to an already awesome lineup, which includes Slipknot, Placebo, The Killers, The Prodigy, and now Razorlight.
The lineup is young and fresh with some of the top bands in the world together with lots of new bands.
The twin-site festival takes place on the weekend of 5th June to 7th June 2009, at Nürburgring and Nürnberg.
The famous motor racing track will rock to the sounds of Placebo, Billy Talent, Bloc Party, and The Kooks, and even harder and darker to Slipknot, Limp Bizkit, Marilyn Manson, Korn, and Machine Head. The local German bands will be strongly represented by the likes of Jan Delay & Disko No. 1, MIA. Selig, and Guano Apes; a comeback is also a great attraction. Also newly confirmed bands like Madness, Phoenix, or Chris Cornell are among the other highlights of the 70 bands that are now firmly on the Ring and Park roster. Rock festival fans can expect more than 100 hours of Modern Rock at its best in three stages.
