Rock am Ring 2009 add Madness and Razorlight to line up

Rock am ring organisers have advised that over 100,000 tickets have now being sold for Rock and Ring and Rock im Park 2009. They have confirmed more bands to the line up to join the 70 already confirmed, the new bands for Rock am Ring unclude Razorlight, Machine Head, Guano Apes, Madness, Phoenix, and Chris Cornell

The Rock am Ring festival is German’s favourite Open Air Festival, and the the latest additions just add to an already awesome line up, which includes Slipknow, Placebo, The Killers, The Prodigy and now Razorlight

The line up is young and fresh with some of the top bands in the world together with lots of new bands.

The Twin site festival takes place on the weekend of 5th June to 7th June 2009, at Nürburgring and Nürnberg.

The famous motor racing track will rock to the sounds of
Placebo, Billy Talent, Bloc Party and The Kooks at, and even harder and darker to Slipknot, Limp Bizkit, Marilyn Manson, Korn and Machine Head
The local German bands will be strongly represented by the likes of Jan Delay & Disko No. 1, MIA. Selig and Guano Apes, comeback is also a great attraction. Also newly confirmed bands like Madness, Phoenix or Chris Cornell are among the other highlights of the 70 bands that are now firmly on the ring and Park roster.
Rock festival fans can expect more than 100 hours of Modern Rock at its best in three stages.

Prodigy Manson and Limp Bizkit Join Rock am Ring 2009 Line Up

Rock am Ring organisers have added some great acts to an already fantastic line up. Rock am Ring faves the Prodigy, Korn Marilyn Manson, Bloc Party, Selig and Limp Bizkit. 65,000 tickets have been sold already so you want to be quick to get tickets for the most popular open air festival in Germany. The line up additions join The Killers, Slipknot, Placebo and many more.

The Prodigy return with a fantastic new studio album back, grain, like Die Toten Hosen on the ring and in the park just as the house band are, however, leave extra for appearances at her ring and Park Studio. Together with Marilyn Manson Korn be a spectacular set at the Alternastage deliver. One of the most influential British indie-rock bands, Bloc Party, are at the festival from her musical calling card. Selig, one of the legendary German rock bands on the ring and celebrate in the park before their Reunion large audience, while Limp Bizkit in their original line-up at last “unfinished work” with no doubt be furious nachholen performances. Overall, more than 30 artists to participate in the twin festivals.

Rock am Ring is the largest festival in Germany with over 160,000 people attending. Argon Events run coach trips to roack am ring and they have over 20 years experience of running coaches to festivals from the UK.

The rock am ring coach package that Argon Events organise picks up from town all around the UK. Rock Am Ring 2009 Bands first acts confirmed

Germany’s top Music Festival have confirmed the first batch of bands to play in 2009. Rock am Ring and Rock im Park takes place between 5th to 7th June 2009.

Rock am Ring organiser have advised that 20,000 tickets have already being sold before they have even announced any of the line up. The 25 year old festival goes from strength to strength.

There will again be 3 stages at 2009 Rock am ring festival, the first headliners confirmed are Las Vegas rockers The Killers who are at the top of their game at the moment their latest Day & Age has topped the charts around the world. Other headliners include Placebo and Slipknot.
Other bands confirmed in the first batch include Canadian punk rocker Billy Talent. The Rock am Ring Festival maintains its truely global reach with top swedish indie acts including Mando Diao and the loveable and hugely popular The Subways.
Also playing are Volbeat and an exclusive appearance by Killswitch Engage.

As well as the huge global acts, top German Acts are of course also well represented including
Peter Fox, the front man of Seeed, the radio superstar Jan Delay & Disko No.1 and Kettcar Arctic Circle 18, and Tomte Kilians Park Square, who will all showcase the great stuff coming from the german rock music scene.
In total over 80 bands will play the festival so watch out for more acts to be confirmed during the year.

Last year Rock am Ring sold out in advance with a record 150,000 attending rock am ring and rock im park. We therefore recommend you get your tickets early.

Rock am Ring Line Up 2009

The Rock am Ring Festival is one of Europe’s Largest Music Festivals. The Rock am Ring and its sister event Rock m Park take place over the same weekend in Germany.
Rock am Ring is hosted at the Nürburgring motor racing track in the west of Germany. The Rock im Park event takes place near the Frankenstadion in Nürnberg which is in the South East of Germany.

Rock am Ring takes place on the weekend of 5th – 7th June 2009. Bands which play on one day Rock am Ring will play the Rock im Park on the next day.
The festival is the largest in Germany with over 150,000 attending across the two events. In 2007 both events sold out in advance for the first time in their history.

Getting to Rock am Ring by Plane is easy, just follow our guide below. In short if you want to fly to rock am ring, once at Frankfurt or Cologne Airport you need to pick up a train to Koblenz. At Koblenz train station you can pick up a shuttle bus that goes direct to the festival site easy !!!

Getting to Rock am Ring Via Frankfurt Airport

1	First Fly into Frankfurt. There is two airports Frankfurt International (FRA) & HAHN AIRPORT (HHN) We recommend Frankfurt International as the travel links are better. Festival Dates to consider: The Camp Site opens on 4th June 2009, so we suggest you fly on say the 3rd June, The camp site closes on Monday 8th June 2009. Just put your planned travel dates, and out going airport to find the cheapest flights from all airlines. Flights around £80
2	Before you travel down or after Rock am Ring consider booking a stay in Frankfurt. The best Hotels offers for Frankfurt we have found from Alpharooms, Lastminute.com and Laterooms
3	If you are on a tight budget why not try Hostelsbookers.com they have Frankfurt hostels from £10 a night We have used them to hitchhiker around the world you can get some really good offers from them
4	You need to make your way to Koblenz. You can get fast trains from Frankfurt check out the German Railways website which is all in english
5	Once in Koblenz Official Rock am Ring Shuttle Coaches to the Rock am Ring Festival Site. The Shuttle Coaches run from Thursday 4th June 2009, They will run coaches back to Koblenz on the Monday after the festival. If you arrive before the this consider booking a hotel. Getting to Rock am Ring from Cologne Airport ( Koln)

1	First Find a cheap flight to Cologne (KölnBonn Airport CGN ) We use the search engine below for cheapest flights to Cologne they search all airlines I found them cheaper than Lastminute, Ebookers and Expedia. Key Dates 3rd June 2008 Camp Site Open, but Shuttle Buses Start 4th June, Camp site closes 8th June. Cheapest Flight around £55 inc taxes
2	Why not book a hotel before or after Rock am Ring you can find Cheap Hotels in Cologne from Alpharooms, and Laterooms
3	You need get a train to Koblenz. There is a station at the airport so you can get a fast train direct to Koblenz, check out the very informative German Railways website which is all in english.
4	Koblenz is where all the festival goers will descend for the final journey to Rock am Ring. This is your last chance to stock up on food and booze. The organisers put on shuttle buses from Thursday 4th June 2008 direct to the camp sites. If you arrive before the Thursday 4th June 2008 why not spend a night there, it is a nice town with bars and restaurants. Lastminute.com have good Koblenz Hotel Offers
